October 25, 2021

The most recent labour force statistics by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) placed the country’s unemployment rate at 33.3%. That is a combination of those who worked only between 1-19 hours a week and those who did nothing at all.

While the unemployment rate is high in many states, these states recorded the lowest unemployment rate at the end of the fourth quarter of 2020.

5 out of the 6 southwestern states, with the exception of Ekiti, are among the 10 states with the lowest unemployment rate in 2020.
