#ChartoftheDay: Nigeria’s International Debt Servicing & Payments Amounts to $1.908 Billion

A total of $1.91 billion was spent by the Nigerian government for international debt servicing and payments between January and October 2021.

 32.36% ($617.53 million )of the total was paid in January. The second-largest sum, $230.69 million for debt servicing, was spent in August.

The month of June recorded the least amount with $49.04 million, which is 2.57% of the total.

The total external debt profile of Nigeria as of September 2021 stood at $37.96 billion.
